Solar Loop: Nuestro trabajo/Our work

Version in English...

Solar Loop

18 students have managed the implementation of a photovoltaic system that has changed the perception of renewable energy into our student community. With their participation our project might have a great impact around the country or perhaps the world!

Solar Loop is a project of youthful empowerment across the implementation of photovoltaic cells; this project is developed by 14 students of 2^nd and 4^th semester of the Ypsilanti High Scholl and 3 UTP students, with the support of the bachelor in International Business from UDLAP, Manuel Arredondo.

The empowerment is the base of the whole project, basically we must respect and transmit it in the same way as Manuel did it with us, achieving this way a direct motivation that causes a strong impact and leading the words to become effective actions.

The development process of Solar Loop is divided in three subgroups, which are:

Sustainable Development team; principally has an aim to offer an unconditional support to the entire team from Solar Loop, so that it achieves a constant motivation, and at the same time the creation of extra projects that are innovative and designed with the base in the knowledge acquired in Solar Loop and related to Sustainable Development.

Photovoltaic Energy team; qualify in photovoltaic systems, assignment of activities and specialization of related tasks, installation and implementation of the system with a suitable functioning of it, maintenance of the solar house and finally the design and evaluation.

Communication team; measure the general knowledge at Ypsilanti School on systems of renewable energy, generates a strategy of communication focused on our market goal, documentation of photos and videos for the edition of a small documentary and the creation of a document where they communicate the results of the project to government agencies and other institutions (sponsors, universities, etc).

Throughout two months we have made a lot of different activities related to the three subgroups, we established new knowledge and reaffirmed understanding and we were widely qualified in areas like marketing, creation of videos and photography, sustainable development and the implementation of it, among others.

By means of everything mentioned previously, we are looking for a change in the mentality and attitude of the people, offering them general knowledge in diverse topics related to the environment, achieving this way something transcendent and in the same way to give the knowledge of solutions that exist to diminish the environmental problems, putting them into practice with our empowerment.

A cooperation and coexistence to recover in the process of Solar Loop they have allowed us to create an educational and labour environment adapted to achieve all the expectations of Solar Loop.

We all appreciate Manuel`s support to us throughout this project and that he always kept empowering us, he shared his knowledge and patience with us, but the most important thing is that he believed and trusted in us to make this happen.
